I have always had an interest in glass and glass works , the colors and form of glass is what inspired me to become a glass artist. What started as a hobby has developed into a business. Fusing is the technique of joining two or more pieces of glass by heat in a kiln. Hand cut pieces are shaped and placed in a kiln to fire. There is many forms of fusing Tac, Contour and full. There is also different styles of glass. The craft workshop & showroom has developed over the years to enable me to manufacture and design my glass creations in a safe and pleasant environment. I make bespoke fabric dolls and craft items for many different occasions, including birthdays, weddings, Communions, retirements, and memorials. I can incorporate the subject’s own clothing and belongings to create a unique and personalised gift. I also create other products including handcrafted Christmas decorations and greeting cards, and I have produced my own colouring book – ‘The Colouring Book of Extraordinary Ordinary Women’.
Hazel Greene is a visual artist and textile designer – a painter who creates silk scarves. She studied textile design in West Dean College, UK, in 2014, was awarded the prestigious title of ‘Accessory Designer of the Year’ at the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards in 2015, and membership of the Council of Irish Fashion Designers since 2016. Hazel creates silk scarves with elegant drape and richness of colour, each finished to the highest quality and hemmed by hand. Her designs are created from her paintings which portray stories of women throughout the decades and are part of State and Heritage collections.
Geraldine initially started painting when linked with Dóchas, as a mechanism for dealing with grief. Geraldine works mainly with acrylics on canvas but enjoys sampling other mediums when she gets the opportunity. Geraldine offers a service that aims to introduce quality art to everyone by working off the principle of affordable commissions – a “you pick, print or plan it, I paint it” service that engages people to create their own masterpieces.
