Rosemarie Langtry
Rosemarie Langtry is a contemporary visual artist from, Co Offaly. Rosemarie graduated in Fine Art in 2014 from GMIT and is inspired by nature, found objects and the Irish landscape.
In 2015 Rosemarie received a residency at Cill Rialaig, Co Kerry followed by a scholarship to attend the 10th (2016) and 13th (2019) International Encaustic conferences in Provincetown, Mass, USA. She was subsequently invited to exhibit at the prestigious 2019 Webster Art fair in St Louis and in 2018 was awarded a two-week Encaustic Residency, Encaustic Castle AIR Kentucky. Rosemarie is inspired by Spanish artist Antoni Tapies, Anslem Kiefer, Mark Bradford and Michael David. Rosemarie enjoys the challenge of experimentation with many mediums and works spontaneously, often incorporating rust or decaying objects to include something from the past to enthral her audience and give extra meaning to her art. I facilitate art workshops for community groups of all ages and abilities
